Kitchen Facet Replacement

We were starting to have some problems with the kitchen facet.  The problems we were noticing are the same problems my neighbor had with hers a couple years back and hers ended up breaking at the turn on handle which caused a geyser of water to soak her kitchen.  I still remember the day that happened and she called me panicked to come over and help her.  So after taking about it Brian and I decided to replace the facet before we had a huge wet mess to clean up.

Thanksgiving Dinner

We had our traditional Thanksgiving Dinner with friends on Thursday night.  We had 6 people including Brian and myself.  

 Pies were pumpkin, pecan, and not pictured is the chocolate mousse.

Oh Christmas Tree...Oh Christmas Tree!!

Brian asked me Wednesday night around midnight if I wanted to put up the Christmas tree and I said absolutely.  This is the new tree we just bought about a week ago.

 Branches haven't been spread out yet.

 Brian wanted a simple tree with no ornaments and only white lights, but I talked him into sparkly red pointsettas and glittery gold spiral branches.

 The new tree is from Hobby Lobby and is the tree I have wanted for the past 9 years.  It has some white flocking to it that looks like snow in places, it has crystals on it that look like ice, branches of red berries, and pine cones throughout the tree.  It is a really pretty tree.

HaLLoWeEn Quilt in Progress

I've started cutting the triangles for the Halloween quilt.  I started to sew some together tonight but I couldn't get the sewing machine to sew right so I gave up on it for today.  I think I have a bobbin that won't work correctly in my machine.  I'll try again tomorrow.

Homemade Bag

This bag started out from a pieced of remnant fabric I picked up at Joanns.  The bag portion itself was all remnant and I purchase a 1/2 yard extra to make the handles and put a pocket on the outside of each side of the bag.  It turned out nice.

Autumn Quilt With Border

I put the border on the quilt tonight and I am very pleased with how it turned out.  It's too big to spread completely out in the kitchen so I had to overlap it in the center a little to see the side borders.  Next up is the piecing of the Halloween quilt and I already have a pattern picked out.
