Talladega Weekend!!

This weekend is the traditional Talladega weekend.  This year marks 12 years.  I've been back in Alabama since Wednesday morning and have had a great time with my wonderful friend, Wendy!  The weather has been amazing with sunny skies and warm temps with beautiful lush green surroundings.  Tomorrow I will head out to Talladega with another wonderful friend, Laurie!  

Gus's Birthday!!!

Today was Gus's Birthday.  He was born on 4/22/2009, which makes him 6 (in people years).

 He got a new ball and two jerky sticks.

Working on the Groomsmen Attire

Think we found a Winner Winner!  Teal linen shirt will match the royal blue/cobalt of the girls dresses nicely.  

 Got all the Groomsmen's linen pants!!  

Tea Bag Dying Test 1

In the hunt for the Groom and Groomsmen attire for the wedding I am having problems finding an ivory colored linen shirt for Brian.  It appears that linen shirts do not come in off-white or ivory.  They are all bright white.

 So...I am testing out some tea dying with white cotton fabric from my quilting stash.

 My concoction is 18 cups of water and three lipton tea bags.  I don't want the shirt too dark, just a touch of the ivory color.  The ivory color will match my dress better than bright white.

The picture doesn't show much difference but when compared to my dress it matches perfectly.  Swatch on the right is the dyed one.

A Visit to the Vet

This look says it all..."Mom do I have to go to the vet?"  He looks like Brian does when I make Brian go to the dentist.

I dropped Gus off this morning at 9 am for a dental cleaning.  They had to pull his two upper back molars today.  That now makes 4 teeth he has lost.  

He seems to be a little more groggy then the last two teeth cleanings he has had.

Wedding Date!!!
