Sunday in NYC

Sunday morning Lesia and I went back to the Dominique Ansel Bakery for a Cronut, which is a cross between a croissant and a donut. It was very good.

Lesia left Sunday morning after breakfast to head home, so I got on a Hop-on Hop-off double decker bus tour and toured the whole city.

This is a mural painted on the side of a building not far from downtown.  The significance of this mural is that the 343 on his hat is the number of fire fighters and service people that died on 9/11, the stars and stripes of the flag, and the 2 white stripes are the the towers.
 The Met.
View of Central Park from the top of the bus.
 Brooklyn Bridge
 Freedom Tower
 Freedom Tower
The Reflection pool at Ground Zero.  This is the area where the 2nd Tower would have stood.

These are the screws and bolts that hold Lady Liberty to her Pedestal.

Dominique Ansel Bakery
Toasted frozen Marshmellow with an ice center that has been rolled in chocolate and graham cracker.
The Macy's store at 34th Street!  It is an amazing store.
Macy's still has the old wooden escalators.

The Christmas decorations were fabulous inside of Macy's.
 Central Park

The Plaza Hotel that was in Home Alone 2
Christmas Trees around the fountain and the Beautiful Lesia!
 Inside the National Cathedral.

The Rockefeller Christmas to finish the night off.  We went every night, but what I did not know is that they shut the tree off every night at 11:45pm and Friday night we just missed the cut off of the tree by a few minutes.
