Garage Project and Weekend fun!

A follow-up from our garage project, Brian and I are in the process of putting an epoxy coat on the garage floor.  We spent some time cleaning and etching (cleans and roughs it up a little bit--allows the epoxy to bind better to the concrete) the floor.  We used Rust-Oleum Epoxy Shield (our was a 1 car garage kit) with black/blue/white/gray chips.  After doing our research and watching videos online, we went with three kits as the people who were not happy with final product commonly noted in the conclusions of there videos wishing that they had put the epoxy down a little thicker.
Preparing the Floor
The left side is cleaned, while the right side is uncleaned.

Having 3 kits, we used the cones after measuring out the garage to make sure we spaced each kit out for appropriate coverage.

We used fans to blow out any leaves, bugs, dust, pollen, or things from coming in the garage during the epoxy process

Unrelated to the garage project, Brian and I have been walking the nature paths around the gardens and down by the river this past week.

Road Trip to Indiana

This last Saturday we took a road trip down to Indiana.

We passed Michigan International Speedway on our way down.

We went through Quincy...Quincy, MI that is.
Making homemade Limoncello.  It takes 4 weeks to make!  We made some changes to this batch, so we will see how it turns out.
We have 2 birds that have made a nest outside the front door.  We can now be inside the house and hear them chattering throughout the day.
We pulled the ladder out and Brian climbed up to find three little eggs.
The canna lilly outside the garage is really starting to take off.  The canna lilies in the back are a little bit behind this one.
 The first Gladiola to bloom.
