Memorial Day Weekend

Brain asked me to make him an American Flag to go on our flag post by the mailbox.  So we bought two of the bigger flags on wooden sticks from Walmart and I sewed them together.  By the way, the confederate jasmine at the mailbox smells great.
Brian and I went to Charleston, SC for his Debevec Family Reunion.  It was a really fun weekend and Brian got to see extended family and cousins he has never met before.

Brian's Mom, Marsha had done some research before traveling down and found a nice quilt shop.  While Marsha, Brian, and I shopped, Chris (Brian's Brother) and Glen (Brian's Dad) found some rocking chairs outside.

Historic Downtown Charleston had a nice park that had a couple fountains.  This one was designed for people to run through.  The water would rise and fall and completely stop for a few seconds.

This was a pineapple fountain in the park.  It was neat because at the base it had two steps that were a wading pool.

Chris, Myself, and Brian posed for a picture at Rainbow Row for Marsha.  Rainbow Row was a section of townhomes that were painted different shades of the rainbow.

Carl (Brian's Cousin), Brian, Grandma Boyls, and Chris before we left on Sunday.
Visiting on the porch is what we did most of the day Saturday.

It was a great weekend and at some point we want to go back to explore more of the Charleston area.
