It was a weekend full of fun with Jenn's Mom and Wendy. They both came in on Wednesday. We found plenty of Fall/Halloween Shenanigans to keep us busy.
Thursday we went to Dexter Michigan to Dexter, MI to Dexter Cider Mill for some apple cider and donuts. We also went to downtown Dexter to the shops and the downtown park. The clock before is in the Dexter shopping area.
Friday evening we went to Three Cedars Farm. They had some outdoor activities and we of course had to sample the cider and donuts.
Decorations in the General Store at Three Cedars Farm.
This was an animated singing electric display.
Saturday Brain wanted to smoke pork butts and pork belly for Wendy and Debbie to try. The meat went on the grill that morning at 5:50 am and came off at 6pm. It was really good!
Saturday afternoon while Brian was smoking us girls went to Northville to see the Skeletons alive in the downtown shopping center. This is an annual thing that the downtown shops do. Each store dresses up and puts out a skeleton every year.
This is a Michigan and Ohio State fan displaying how much they like each other.
This is one of the entrances in the downtown shop area from one of the parking garages. The skeletons where hanging from the rafters.
This skeleton needed a closer look at the clock.
Skeleton Ice Hockey
Probably Jenn's favorite was this one. The skeleton dogs are chasing the skeleton cat up the tree.
All aboard for some sledding.
Skeleton robbing the bank!!

Getting ready to do some repairs!

Saturday night we went to Hallowe'en at Greenfield Village. This was a lot of fun!
It is an event that winds through Greenfield Village and the path is lined with 2000 carved and lit pumpkins. Candy is passed out and there are interactive shows and displays throughout.
This was a stand of intricately carved pumpkins.
This is the Flour Mill at the Village. If you look closely at the window at the top of the building you will see a black cat in the window.
This is 1931 hearse driven by Mr. Skeleton.
There is a real ghost out on the balcony of this house singing.
This was a neat display. You can't see it in the picture but the pumpkins were singing and the light up on the building is an animated light that was the shape of a skeleton dancing on the building.
This link will take you to a video of Hallowe'en at Greenfield Village.
Sunday we went to The Henry Ford Museum and then stopped by another Cider Mill to compare the cider and donuts to the previous 2 cider mills we had already been to. We decide we liked Dexter Cider Mill the best.
