Friday Night Ann Arbor Date Night

With softball season wrapped up and with both of us home, we decided to have a weekend of date night'ing.

Our first adventure... walking downtown Ann Arbor (Main Street and Liberty Street).  The weather was beautiful---mid-70's, partial cloud cover and humidity was there but not terrible.

Starting during the COVID shutdown due to eating indoor/restrictions, Ann Arbor closes off main street to cars and becomes a pedestrian friendly street.  Restaurant along main street extend seating onto the side walks and the street.

Its not uncommon to find street performers in non-dinning roped off areas. A familiar face around Ann Arbor is the Violin Monster, who is notorious from playing his violin along the streets of Ann Arbor and various other cities.

Our night was capped with two scoops from the Michigan Creamery, located at the end of Liberty Street (and S. State Street). The Block, formed by Liberty Street, S. State Street, E. Williams Street and Thompson Street also closes off, allowing restaurants to expand dining and entertainment.
