As an athletic trainer I will never fully understand some coaches. When a doctor or athletic trainer (that has more medical experience than the coach) tells a coach that a kid can't participate and fully explains the risks and whys you would think a coach would go oh maybe I should listen...but no they DON'T. Instead the coach just pushes the envelope and meddels where they shouldn't be meddeling. And when the athletic trainer points out that all the limitations and time out for the athlete is for the athlete's safety, the coach comes back with with, "well we aren't trying to risk the athletes safety" and that's when I want to speak up and say "BUT YES YOU ARE". In the words of Porky Pig I just want to tell those coaches to p-p-piss off coach.
