Today was a wrecking day in the house and let me tell ya it's a WrEcK!
Brian and I are taking up the linoleum in the half bath, pantry, kitchen, and dinning room to put down porcelain tile. The tile has been on lay-a-way since April and I finally picked it up on Tuesday. We are doing the job in two segments. One segment will be the bathroom, pantry, and small hallway. The second segment will be the kitchen and dinning room. By doing two segments we will finish the bathroom and pantry completely so we can move some of the kitchen/dinning stuff to the bathroom and put the pantry back together.
He was very confused.
Sink is gone.
Working on removing the toilet, which wasn't hard to do.
Empty bathroom!
Yuck! Scraping off the wax ring.
My cute helper!
Linoleum removal! This step by far may be the hardest. It takes a lot of elbow grease to get it all up.
The scrapper doesn't work as easy as I thought it would be. I ended up using an adhesive solvent remover to help this process.
Tada! Finally got the linoleum up.
This was what the finish of Day 1 looks like. Segment 1 of this job is what you see here and below. We will tile the bathroom, pantry, and this small hallway. We plan to start laying tile on Saturday morning.
Pantry clear of linoleum.
Such a ham!
