The Carnival Liberty in dock in San Juan, Puerto Rico
Standing on deck of the Carnival Liberty in San Juan. Our 7-day trip will take us to St. Thomas, (Day at Sea), Barbados, St. Lucia, St. Kitts, and St. Maarten. More pictures are to come.

Welcome to Barbados

Stationed here in Barbados is HMS (Her Majesty's Ship) [England's Royal Navy ship] Severn. It is a River-class offshore patrol ship, named after the Severn River (the longest river in the United Kingdom, about 220-miles).
Next up was a stop in St. Lucia. One of the biggest attractions is the Pitons located near the town of Soufrière. Two volcano mountains on the Southwest part of the island. The taller one is Gros Piton and the small one is Petit Piton
Welcome to St. Kitts. Also known as Saint Christopher Island in the West Indies. St. Kitts is a baseball shaped island and is associated with Nevis, an island off of the southern part of St. Kitts.
St. Kitts is a special island, as half of it is surrounded by the Atlantic Ocean (seen below), while the other half is surrounded by the Caribbean Sea (not pictured). The Atlantic side is very windy while the ocean is very rough, while the Caribbean side is very calm and picturesque.
On the other side of the mountain is North Friars Bay
Monkeying around in St. Kitts. We learned they're over 50,000 people on the island and approximately 80,000 monkeys.
Another one of our favorite islands in the Caribbean, Great Bay, St. Maarten
The runway for Princess Juliana International Airport extends right to Maho Beach in St. Maarten
The French side of the island
Till next time.....
We stayed two days following our cruise at the Embassy Suites San Juan Hotel & Casino near the airport.
Hobbie Beach, a block and a half walk from our hotel
